An LEI number is a permanent 20-character alphanumeric identifier assigned to a legal entity. It helps financial institutions, regulators and other parties identify organizations consistently across markets and jurisdictions.
Each LEI record connects the identifier to public reference information about the entity, such as its legal name, registered address, jurisdiction and registration status.
